Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must satisfy both educational qualification and age criteria.
Educational Qualification
Applicants should possess a Graduation Degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
Candidates in the final year or final semester of graduation can also apply provisionally, provided they produce proof of passing the examination on or before 30 September 2026.

SBI PO Exam Pattern
Phase-I: Preliminary Examination
The Preliminary Examination is an online objective test carrying 100 marks with a duration of 1 hour.
It consists of three sections:
English Language
Quantitative Aptitude
Reasoning Ability
Each section has separate timing. There is no sectional cut-off, but candidates are shortlisted based on their overall score. A penalty of 0.25 marks is deducted for every incorrect answer.
Phase-II: Main Examination
Candidates qualifying in the Preliminary Examination will appear for the Main Examination.

Selection Process
The SBI PO Recruitment 2026 selection process consists of three phases.
Phase 1 – Preliminary Examination
A qualifying online examination used for shortlisting candidates for the Main Examination.
Phase 2 – Main Examination
Includes Objective and Descriptive Tests. Marks obtained in this phase contribute to the final merit.
